Lee might have been a little off but it seems our recievers can't get any seperation from the defenders. It appears most of the recievers were covered like a cheap suit when we threw to them and had the passes been thrown in the chest it would have been picked off.

True. But so is the alternative. If you don't complete passes on first down, you're just leading to similar 3rd and longs.

I didn't get this impression at all. Outside of one play, I can't recall Kentucky having many opportunities to intercept the ball.

Yea, i gotta say for being a team who just likes to pound it up the middle (which i'm fine with that style) our 2 starting guards aren't exactly prototypes. T-bob whiffs too often and is on his knees half the game, and blackwell just isn't that good. seems like L.Collins back there gives us a huge, athletic and strong guy. time for a shakeup with the guards IMO.

Receivers dropped a few balls but Lee threw nearly every time off of his back foot, pressured or not

And, mainly, the running game was not good at all.

i was shocked at how good our running stats ended up being with how inconsistent we were in real time

if we're going to be a running offense, we need to really be more consistent in the running game

didn't miles have a great quote after one practice/scrimmage about the wind "taking the day" or something?

I think it was something like "had some completions taken away by the day"

OLine needs to be more dominating at the point of attack for that to happen. RB's are finding daylight hard to come by right now.

I don't like the roll out passes at all. period. that seems like the easiest play in the world to defend. just run in the direction of the qb and you are covering someone.

and Lee doesn't have the speed to get to where he needs to be to make the throws...could be setting up a pass back to the other side though for later.

Both; still throwing off his back foot, too.

luckily we have 2 great RBs (ware/ford) and 2 good RBs (blue/mcgee)

ware is great at the point of attack in breaking arm tackles, which helps alleviate some of the OL issues. ford is great at bouncing it outside to achieve the same end effect

blue is solid, but his inability to do what either ware/ford does separates him from the top, imho

Seemed like mainly Blue and McGee after the Ford fumble recovery

Ford didn't play well, several times it looked like the line was moving to second level blocks and Ford would miss a hole. The drop on the pitch was horrendous.

On the first deep pass to Randle, he could've caught it in stride for a TD but he comes to a complete stop and tries to post up the CB as the ball sails 5 yards over his head. He's played worse as the season as progressed it seems. All the people worried about him leaving early to go be a 1st round pick can chill out.

You noticed that too?

If he keeps running, it's a td

Averaging 3.9 a carry when UF averaged nearly 9 the week prior is a bit of a concern.

Pump the breaks. The coverage was tight, there is no way to know if it would have been a touchdown had he judged the ball better. He misplayed a ball, get over it, it happens.

I'm aware. i'm talking about the whole season. our OL hasn't exactly been blowing people off the ball since the oregon game, particularly up the middle where 80% of our plays are designed. seems to me if you wanna just pound like that, your interior OL should be dominant and a strength of the offense, and our guys just aren't.

i think our OL is still in transition mode for the 4th or 5th year in a row. since 2008 we didn't know what kind of offense we were running as a base offense and our OL types are all over the place

with this offense we have now, we need some 320 lb road graders and not the agile/fast zone blocking OGs for the spread option

Agreed. Our run game would be just as good, if not better than Bama if we had road grader guards rather than T-Bob and the like.
