1st year starter stuff doesn't really matter. If Zach hands ball off 60 times team will still win maybe 10 games. If he plays like I think he will, club has a very good shot this year.

The vast majority of scoop's posts have always been flames. Sometimes he'll come close to getting himself banned and then come to the rant and post some bullshite thread kissing LSU's arse so people like him. It's all part of his troll act though.

Mett has better physical attributes than either of the Mc's (Carron & Elroy) but so did JJ so I'll have to wait and see.

Did you get a chance to spring game? I'm really excited. Of course he wore a green "don't even think about touching this guy" jersey but:
He made 3rd reads and tracked receiver quickly. He also exhibited actual pocket presence. But like you say, I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does in September against UW and AU.

Has JJ, not to turn this into a JJ thread, just comparing so don't get all hating on JJ otherwise this thread will get anchored.
Has JJ put up these kinds of numbers? Started all 12 games at Butler, throwing for 2,678 yards and 32 touchdowns with only four interceptions.
Granted, it's not the SEC but he's no stranger to it. He was neck and neck with Murray and then felt up a booster's daughter in some bar.
That kid, I believe, is the real deal.
Again, no bashing JJ, just making a comparison.

I want to see how he holds up against UF in Ben Hill Griffin stadium with future NFL linemen running over him. JJ wasn't much but he could take a hit and keep on going. UF gets 2 weeks to prepare for us and so does aTm.

You make it sound like our OL will suck. Did they last year?
We don't even know who will be slinging it at FL. Driskell or that other dude. Neither looked impressive last year.

No doubt...as good as Zach has looked he hasn't seen the real deal yet. But I'm very optimistic and I'm usually not (too many gut shots)

I think we're blessed to have Mett and our OL should be at least as good as last year but Muschamp's going to get some pressure in there on him. You never know until you get there. I'm glad he get to start off easy against N Texas and the other patsies. If Bama had a tough first game last year McCarron might not have turned out the way he did.

I agree.
We'll see what bama does in their opener against Michigan. They lost a bunch on defense and DeNard Robison is way more of a runner than JJ.
I personally feel good about both of those games.
