The few times he's dropped into coverage his man caught the ball.
If teams get the ball out quick and negate Perkins rush then I'm pretty sure he'll be back on the sideline or subbing for BJ again

I see this as Kiffin paying a very respectful and high praise comment about Perkins and how good he is. Kiffin is absolutely right, and he absolutely did make comments about Perkins previously. Not sure why anyone would dog the man for doing so.

Kiffin is doing LSU a solid for the playoff committee.
When they evaluate LSU, they can discuss LSU being different now that Perk is playing.
They care about who is the best 4 teams at the end of the season (balanced by record of course)
