No. 18 LSU (5-2, 2-2 SEC) travels to Auburn on Saturday to face the Tigers (4-2, 2-2 SEC) in an SEC showdown at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11am CT on ABC.

LSU enters the matchup as an 8.5-point favorite, with the over/under sitting at 50.5 points.

LSU is coming off a dominant 31-0 shutout victory over Mississippi State, while Auburn pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season with a 27-24 road win over No. 1 Georgia. LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns against the Bulldogs, while Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown accounted for 265 total yards and two touchdowns against Georgia.

This will be the 59th meeting between the two schools. LSU leads the all-time series 33-24-1. The two schools last met in 2023, when LSU defeated Auburn 48-18 in Baton Rouge. Series History

Press Conference Tidbits:
- LSU has not won an SEC road game since October 19, 2024 (at Arkansas)

- With Trey'dez out, there are nine portal players starting on offense...and Lane says the offense is finally starting to gel.

- Lane was asked about there being only two SEC teams in AP Top 10: he blamed the nine-game conference schedule...he is not a fan.

- On Trey'Dez Green and Whit Weeks injury status: Lane said we would know more on Wednesday's injury report.

- Lane asked if he has the same "swag" on offense at LSU as he did at Ole Miss: he says it is not about having swag (in terms of when to go for it on 4th down), but more about knowing his entire team and leaning on the defense when it makes sense...he says he is paid a lot of money to make educated decisions. Five times this year, he said the analytics book said to go for it and he elected to punt...on four of those times, the opponent had to punt it back to us...the other time was at the end of the Kentucky game...so he feels that he is making the right calls when it comes to going for it on 4th down.

- On Auburn QB Byrum Brown: It was Charlie Weis Jr. who recruited him to South Florida...he is hard to tackle, very strong, similar to playing against South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers.

- On Auburn DC DJ Durkin: Lane is very familiar with him. Lane had him on staff at Ole Miss during the 2020–2021 seasons and has played against him now...very good coach, does multiple stuff, players play hard, very good in-game adjustments.

- On TE Zach Grace: Zack has stepped up due to injuries and has done a good job in preparing and playing on offense.

- On LB Davhon Keys: Lane challenged him to play more physical and it showed on Saturday.
