I don't care what is normal or even allowed, I don't like the idea of a coach paid millions of dollars to take any vacations during the season. That seemed so ridiculous.

Even if the players have off I want the coach studying at home.

Les fought pretty hard to keep Chavis.

I'm currently amazed that he fought to retain Baker. Nobody in the past 2 decades tried to hold onto a coordinator, they either told them good luck with the new job or fired them.

This is wrong on so many levels.

O did fight to keep Aranda, but he realized that it was time for Aranda to move up.

O ultimately, though reluctantly, advised him to go to Baylor.

He also tried to convince Slinger to stay on, but Slinger had earned his retirement into the sunset. He had already answered the call twice for O.

Slinger may possibly be the truest Tiger of all time. He reluctantly stepped into the role of OC not once, but twice. Not because he wanted the job, but because we needed him to do the job.

Not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed.

And that's just under Orgeron. Miles fought for a couple, as did Saban.

Just because the coordinator leaves for a higher position doesn't mean the coach didn't fight to convince them to stay.

Unless he wins.

If he's winning, I don't care what he does.

Respect the Process is what I say.

Yep

Another example: O was pretty sure he was gonna keep Joe Brady.

The man knows he needs top players/staff to compete yearly in the SEC, knows the connections needed to get those and finally the time required to produce a winner. BK came over thinking that this would fall into his lap. Refreshing to see a HC putting in the work already in assembling a top notch staff and grinding to keep and get top notch kids to LSU.

Baker held his OM Offense to a 24-19 score in Oxford this past season.
That's all Kiffin needed to see !
