I don’t want any of that, but I do want the governor to not make it exponentially harder to get a good candidate.

now yall are mad that Landry won't tolerate Kelly and Woodward?

Dont know and haven't seen anyone mad that Kelly was fired and Woodward likely will be also.

What i have seen is people mad and rightfully so that the governor thought it important to run his mouth during a press conference about SNAP benefits.

Its a bad look no matter his political leanings.

The whole country is laughing at us and rejoicing, because they know that clown just cost us any shot at getting a good coach. Have fun with Napier or O. I've never been more amazed at how dumb this board is until today, and that is saying something.

I’m not giving up and melting before I hear the name. I agree with most of what you said about Landry. He is terrible at optics. He needs to take a back seat in the media. Hire the LSU president and let him talk about the job search. The president likely needs to have some kind of a committee and likely will.

Yeah I'm sure no one wants the lsu job now because of Louisiana politics. God how will we get any good coaches now because we had such a great reputation before....

Yeah, this is really a good look.

Urban Meyer speaks out on Gov. Jeff Landry’s reported involvement in firing of Brian Kelly: ‘That’s an alarm’

quote:

This unusual situation naturally drew a wide range of reactions from people in and around the sport, and this includes a man who has been linked to the opening with the Tigers in former OSU and Florida head coach Urban Meyer, who said that the governor’s reported involvement in Kelly’s firing would “change the game.”

“If this really took place in the Governor’s mansion, and if the Governor and other non-football people were making the decision, as a coach, that’s an alarm,” Meyer said on a recent episode of The Triple Option. “… I hate to speculate, but, to me, if that did happen, then that changes the game. If you’re now going to interview for the head coaching position at LSU, do you meet with the Governor?”

Kelly had to be fired

You'd have to be a fricking idiot to let Woodward negotiate the next football contract

Proceed to keep melting

That can all happen without the governor acting like a retarded attention whore.

You like working where you have puppet strings on you. Fine
Speak for yourself and realize not everyone likes that on a position like AD.
