The last drive of the Alabama game last year restored his confidence. He has been amazing ever since.

Ive said before, LaFell is a specimen. He has all the tools to be a GREAT reciever. He's fast strong tall and runs great routes. If he can stay immune to "Devery Disease" he'll be the best reciever ever to come from LSU. IMO

His blocking downfield is much improved. Has stepped it up big time. Chris Mitchell as well.

he hit rock bottom against auburn last year, then had a couple huge catches at bama, and has money since

Dont forget Tony Moss

I think Bowe may take early honors on best LSU pro wideout. Hopefully he will get a QB other than a BAMA scrub to throw to him

Yes, Lafell has come a long way. I have not watched the replay yet but I don't remember any drops by our receivers. Were there any balls that should have been caught that were not? It seems to me that most of the incomplete passes were horribly off target and were not catchable.

yeah. He keeps improving from year to year. And as for as "Measureables" he's a prototypical NFL reciver.

+1. How bad was the play where he juggled and basicly handed the ball to the Auburn DB?

lafell is almost a dwayne bowe clone, a little less physical though

but they both just have that natural ability to get use their body and get open...its almost easy for them to get open

he's really embracing his role as the number 1 guy now. don't forget he was doing some pretty nice blocking sat. night too---if you remember on the two jared mitchell screens he was paving the way.

Bowe was pretty bad with drops in 05. Lafell's 6'3 and Bowe's 6'2.
