What's wrong with the lack of the rotation along the defensive line? Were the redshirt freshman (Herron/Gilmore/Bain) mis-evaluated? Just slow developing? Lack of coaching? Dog house?

Just throw them out there and see what happens. Could not hurt anything. Maybe some of these kids are just gamers.

The first issue is that Les does not see it as a problem. When asked about it directly, he responded "I don't see it as a weakness." To utter this immediately after watching your team give up 600 yards of offense including 300+ on the ground is quite alarming.

LSU needs to change their recruiting philosophy on the D-Line & with LB's. We need to recruit some BIG STRONG D-Linemen & LB's. Speed is nice but our D-Line & LB's are getting manhandled & beaten at the point of attack. Doesn't matter who' rotating in, if they are small & light, they are gonna get pushed around.

Given the fact that Godchaux has apparently already passed all three of those guys on the depth chart, I would say they are looking like busts/projects/possible future offensive linemen.

But why has he passed them is the question. It could be that he just practices a little harder or is a "yes man". We all can look at the depth chart and see that it's not based on talent and having the best player start. So again, why not get these guys in rotation during the game and see what they have. If nothing else you are giving the other guys some needed rest. Because bottom line, anything else is a better option. At this point than what's been happening.

he also said he wasnt going to sugar coat it to his staff, but he protects that building.

I just want to know why for so long people gave props to chavis and that he saved Miles job and that chavis has full control of the defense and thats why it is so good. So after all that, it is now Miles fault the defense sucks? So do or dont you want the head coach involved with his coordinators?

BTW, i like Les and thinks he deserves blame for losing and winning. Some people just want to point the finger when things go wrong and never give credit when it goes right.

Melvin Jones was at one time considered a serious MLB candidate. We have some good FB's and he aint seein the field at FB. Listed on roster at 6'2" 258 lbs. Match him up with KB52 at 6'2" 245 lbs and I think we would be much more solid up the middle... JMHO

Chavis has done this since 12. It's very frustrating. I just don't think we have anybody to put in though.

I agree.

Yea, I think most are just confused right now. This is not a typical Chavis defense.

You have those two guys in the game at the same time and teams like Auburn and TAMU will run them around in circles. Miles did say he wants KB on the field more. I like our speed guys on the field vs most teams, KB needs to be on the field all the time
