Here's a nice little story about Larry Lacewell.

He was an assistant under Barry Switzer at Oklahoma in the 70's. On the eve of the 1978 Orange Bowl, Lacewell caught his wife in bed with.....Barry Switzer. Nice.

He sat in the stands the next day, and Number 1 Oklahoma proceeded to get their asses whipped by Lou Holtz and Arkansas, 31-6.

Lacewell left the following year for Arky State. He was in the Cowboys scouting department years later when Jerry Jones hires.....you guessed it....Barry Switzer.

It looks like the marriage survived, and he and Barry have patched things up. See article below.

Don't know about you guys but my marriage isn't surviving that.

Good to know this. People do this all the time when preping for an unusual offense.

This is the story that I chose not to relay in my post above.

Hey, a former UAM Boll Weevill, like myself!

Another interesting point about Lacewell. Bear Bryant was the man who encouraged him to get into college and play football. Red Parker was the head coach at Arkansas-Monticello and he and The Bear were friends.

Just useless knowledge.

Wow...that's pretty impressive that he could settle a beef with a boss who he caught in the sack with his wife.
