I'd go with this line-up.

yes. seems ligit.
No, it doesn't. Blanton and Roberts don't come close to Bob Pettit, Rudy Macklin or John Williams at the forward position. I'd even put Stromile Swift, Glenn Davis or Tyrus Thomas on the team before Blanton or Roberts.

Something is not quite right with this. Oh, I know what it is. Glover Jackson belongs on this list.
Fixed

If we go five deep, Tyrus Thomas and Marcus Thornton belong in there. I'd almost go 2nd team for both.
ETA - I see Tyrus now. Carry on.

so somebody who's arguably the best ball-handler and passer in the history of college basketball should NOT be the point guard? doesn't make much sense to me.
I think the "tournament" mentioned in this thread had UNC beating LSU in the finals.

personal finances manager -- Dennis Tracy
and a big lulz at Stanley Roberts being mentioned anywhere in this thread.

When ESPN did the "greatest ever" tournament a couple of years back the starting five was: Maravich, Jackson, Oneal, Macklin and Pettit. The bench had Roberts and Williams and they finished as the second best collegiate team of all time, losing a close one in the finals to North Carolina. I would certainly have no problem adding Blanton, Derrick Taylor and Glenn Davis to fill out the second team.

This is it. I would put this team against any other school's best of all time...as long as we had a quality coach. Well, maybe except for UCLA's best ever.

No mention of Roman Rubchenko or Ceaser for 3!!!!

I loved CJ, but I have to stick Pete at point. Both guys need the ball in their hands. Also, John Williams should get a lot more love than he does. Without him '86 doesn't go to the Final Four. Eatting himself out of the NBA shouldn't diminish what he did at LSU.
Pete
Howard Carter-all the way from the parking lot, perfect 2 with Pete
Rudy-hopefully he could adapt to playing a 3
Pettit
Shaq
CJ best 6 man, scoring machine off the bench
John Williams, could play 2-5 in college
Take that as best 7.

Andy Campbell and Joe Costello should be on the list.

Actually ESPN had LSU beating UNC in the semifinals, but LSU was eliminated because advancement was totally dependent on a fan vote.
