This is what TS loud sounds like: Bama '10 (and it wasn't even dark)

Didn't read the whole thread but they probably won't ever find out if we are only hosting them on the Friday after Thanksgiving at 1:30 pm every other year.

Les Miles was asked about Kyle field at the Tiger Tour here in Houston. He complemented Kyle saying he has sat in the press box coaching multiple times but stated teams from Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Knoxville and Gainesville were not going to be intimidated by their crowds. Most SEC teams will not be intimidated.

Exactly. Compared to Texas Tech and Iowa State, Kyle is loud. When the loudest your conference has to offer is Oklahoma and Texas, neither of which are famous for being particularly intimidating venues, then you aren't exactly in the upper echelons of college football.
The Swamp. General Neyland. Death Valley. Those are loud stadiums.

I have been to big games at both venues and I think Tiger Stadium is louder.
I was at the 2005 (I think) it was Adrian Petersons freshman year at OU when they played at Kyle Field and A&M played them a close game. It was very loud but not as loud as FLA in 07 or 09 and/or Auburn 2010.
Kyle Field is a great venue but overall nothing like watching a game in Tiger Stadium.
Also caught a game at OU in 2008 and it was SUPER BORING

I was at the A&M bowl game against northwestern with my 2-year old daughter... I'll accept that the aggie faithful would not be as loud in reliant stadium... a stadium considered loud by NFL standards.
I was at Tiger Stadium for the Arkansas game in 2011...
let the aggies have their cheers; Tiger Stadium ROARS

Not even close, I was there two seasons ago when they upset Oklahoma, 20 rows off the field. I enjoy their traditions and cheers, but to call kyle field louder than TS is a joke.

The board op tried to turn up the announcer and turn down the crowd noise, but did the opposite.. so it sounds like the crowd was louder than it was. Even though it was loud, I'm sure.

I had a buddy who went to atm, came to watch the auburn game with byrd making "the catch" and say in our strident section.
"we are loud, but I've never seen our heard anything close to that in my life"
That was his quote after the game. Find me an lsu student who says that after a visit to Kyle and then we can talk about this some more.

LOL, no, not even close, either in terms of peak decibel level or sustained noise. TAMU fans are, as always, delusional.

It's just an off-season thread, chief.

Of course A&M fans think Kyle is louder and LSU fans think TS is louder. Maybe someone should bring a decibel measure to Kyle field this year and then the next year in TS and compare the 2. Sounds like a good idea.
And when I read the Aggie message board I just imagine some hick saying "I bet there stadium is louder but Aggie fans can yell louder than anyone." ...Congrats bud, want a trophy?

Tiger Stadium. Without a doubt.
