So has any word leaked about the returners for this year? I'm assuming White will grab the PR duties again but what about KR? I can see Guice, Jackson, Davis. What do y'all think?

Guice is the sure thing at KR. Probable Donte gets PR job. White has already proved out in that role. No need to get him hurt in his money year when you have an even more electric option.

I love white but as far as PR he is probably the weakest weve had in years. Not really knock on him since we have had amazing ones. Hope we put someone little more electric back there

White at PR - Smart, athletic as all get out and a senior.

Guice at KR - Because he's a fricking monster

Does Donte have the ball skills for PR?

Guice at KR. Hope he doesn't return them like he did against Alabama. He almost got killed running straight up. He has the talent just don't want to see him get hurt.

I want Jackson at both. Wishful thinking though.

I love that he came back for his SR season and he's done many good things for the Tigers. But he's not very smart as far as returning punts at all. He makes many of boneheaded mistakes back there. I'd rather see a Dural or Guice back there. I don't trust Donte either fwiw. Maybe Chark, Dillon, or Davis.

This isn't true at all. Look at Tre Whites punt return stats compared to other primary punt returners in the past years. Since 2007 only TM, PP, and Trindon Holiday have had a better average than White.

since 2007 how many other punt returners have we had other than TM, PP, TH and TW?

I want Donte at PR & I would love to have Guice at KR again...but I really don't want him back there at the same time due to risk of injury because we NEED him to tote the rock a lot this year.

I think in a dream scenario it would be Donte Jackson at PR with DJ & Drake Davis at KR.

But if I had to guess in the 1st game against Wisconsin it will be T. White at PR & Guice/Williams at KR. Or maybe Guice/Donte Jackson at KR. It's just a huge risk putting Guice on KR to me...but we'll see what happens.

RS FR Derrick Dillon could be a sleeper candidate for returns as well as one of the freshman DB's like Saivion Smith

White muffs way more kicks than those other guys did and he calls a fair catch far too often as well.

White is pretty boom or bust as a PR. He has as many returns for tds as anyone in his career but he also gains zero yards far more often than other returners under Les Miles.

I want Guice back again as KR, and I really wish we had tried Dillon at PR because he is so shifty. I think Donte would be a better PR than White has been.
