Does anyone here know if Chaisson really wants his name pronounced "chase-on" instead of how 99% of LA pronounces it "Sha-sawh(n)"?
Apparently, a pronunciation guide sent to media has it listed as "chase-on"...

It hurts my ears as bad as Clemson's Travis Etienne's name gets butchered.

I saw a fairly recent interview where he confirmed the pronunciation that is in the guide. He said something like he understood that folks in Louisiana might pronounce it differently, but he was raised to say "chase-on"

Is it pronounced "Klay-von" or "Kay-luh-von" or "Kuh-lay-von"?

How about Tyrion Davis-price?

Is it like game of thrones midget or Tye-rian (how they were pronouncing it saturday night?)

I thought it is supposed to be pronounced as a rhyme with the name Jason, with the second syllable pronounced with a short i sound.

FWIW, if you go to the LSU website, you can get pronunciations. (Notice the icon next to each name.) They are exciting pronunciations, too!

If that's how he does & wants it, I'm able to accept it.
But man, it hurts my ears.

Well, I don't see myself meeting him, so I will continue to use 'Klay-von'...
