Herbstreit all but picked the Aubies, said it would be down to the wire, not even sure he actually picked a winner.

If we are able to have that ratio for Bama it means we win.

Yeah, I'm not going to be butthurt about him picking Bama. It's not an unreasonable choice or anything.

But, what exactly is it about their offence that makes it more "balanced" than our's or anyone else's in the NCAA?

Alabama
229 average passing
228 average rushing

Yeah...we do. Don't bother talking about strength of schedule, it has nothing to do with balance.

That's great news considering how much of a dumbass he is. I think the only reason he's on TV is b/c he looks like a cartoon with a terrible wig

LSU
183 average rushing
189 average passing

We're pretty balanced also.

Okay, I guess on average they are "balanced." I suppose that's good and all. Seems like a statistical quirk more than anything, though. I'm not sure what it's telling me as far as how or why that's an "advantage" for Bama versus us.

And the difference for LSU the whole year is 47 more yards rushing, or 5 more rushing yards per game.

Seriously guys we have been going through this for years. They dont like LSU never have and never will. It only adds to the tenacity that the Tigers will bring to Tuscaloosa. No worries my friends no worries.

crazy:
LSU 2011
1,465 PAssing: 1,512 Rushing
difference of 47 yards on the season

BAMA
1,834:1,827
difference of 7 yards, on the season

Those stats are both crazy, bama is more balanced, but that stat is pretty irrelevant, it is the difference between one play either way

They do have more yards too, but LSU has played a tougher schedule

Should be pretty awesome!

the difference could be the fact that LSU has played in several high-profile games, that may prepare them to deal with all the hype and tension building up to this game better

just because an offense is more balanced does not mean it's a better offense... i hate when the "experts" use that as a deciding factor when trying to decide which team is better.

You can also add average scoring for both teams

Alabama
39.38 Average points scored per game
6.88 Average points allowed per game

LSU
39.25 Average pointed scored per game
11.5 average points allowed per game

My Bama buddy called me and said to give him the reasons I honestly think we can be Bama. I said "One reason...we're better. It's that simple"

McShae went with Bama too, why? because apparently AJ McCarron is better than Lee? Sure, Lee torched Auburn, but thats just Auburn....Then, right after he said that, AJ led his team to a whopping 6 points with an INT in the first half against Tennessee at home

Haven't seen McShae even mention it since...

Part of the reason LSU doesn't have more yards is because of great special teams play.

How many times this season has the offense had a short field to work with. Add 10-20 yards on every possession to drive the field and it'll add up quick.

Special teams will be huge in a game like this.
