I just realized this ,but im pretty sure that LSU would be ranked #3 if we were undefeated. The Florida loss really hasn't hurt us.

We would be #2 and also have a chance to lose to Bama and still make playoffs, so yes the loss against Florida hurts nonetheless. It’s still a loss.

Maybe we would have been #2 if we had beaten Florida , but our resume prolly wouldn't be enough to over take the bama love and the percieved (pretty hard to deny though) eye test

It hurts us if we lose Saturday.

Hasn't hurt us yet but it will hurt us tremendously should we lose Saturday - we could've possibly gotten in at 11-1, but no chance at 10-2.

Agree, but as others said, we could absorb a loss and still make the playoff, that cant happen now

Yea i agree.I just meant in a vacuum that the ranking wouldn't have been much different. Not taking into account future implications. Just the difference in the number we're ranked as of today if we won wouldn't have changed much at all.

That’s true. The only implications it will have is if we lose Saturday.

It's pretty much like winning twice if we beat bama , considering the tie breaker. The first sec west loss is always irrelevant if you take care of business..the thing that hurts the most, is if you lose to an sec east team...most people don't understand that.if u think about it,then you will see what I mean

Which really doesn’t make sense if you think about it. You lose to #1 and you drop? How does that prove your still not the 3rd best team in the Nation? Must be nice not to have #1 Bama on the schedule every year like others.....

I take that last part back..I just meant we had an east loss and still had to play all the west teams..that's not a good reason for what I said though...everybody has a dumbass moment, hope that's my only one lol

I never really thought about it like that, but it makes total sense.

That's the future implications we we're discussing. The Florida loss wouldn't have changed much unless we lose to bama and then have two losses, cant make it with two losses , as of rite nows Outlook anyway

I started a thread on this very topic before the Georgia game. Beating Georgia nullified the loss. That game was very important

zero chance they would’ve put us number one ahead of their favorite child, bama

Bruce Feldman was on the Will Cain show today and said he thinks a 2 loss LSU can still get in the playoffs if Bama were to win the SECCG. Said they probably get in over a 1 loss PAC 12 champ.
