Wheeling in a piano and letting Bruce Hornsby perform the national anthem...the crowd would erupt and it would be downhill from there.

6. Run offensive plays that get the ball in the hands of the right player with their best shot.
7. Score when you are inbounding the ball under your own basket.

23-0 vs 17-6, the key to beating Kentucky is playing actually.

In my mind, I'm already there.

•Rowdy crowd would help even when Ky is up double digits.

•Martin & Mickey stay out of foul trouble

•Somehow try to keep it close with 5 minutes left in game

•Hope Ky has an off night. The matchups are outright scary against LSU.

Very simple. Use what has worked in the past - very high level of intensity from players and crowd and then shite just happens...

Check to see if Shaq, Stanley Roberts, Chris Jackson, Tyrus Thomas, and Big Baby Davis can come back

Im so tired of people talking about our lack of depth. Look at Duke.

While I do think depth can be a factor because of foul trouble and/or injuries, I do agree it's very much overplayed here and elsewhere.

Hell, LSU's best teams have been similarly depth challenged.

Our 2006 team played 8, with Rolle and Voogd being our 7th and 8th guys and they usually only played 4-8 minutes per game outside blowouts.

Our 1986 Final Four team basically played 7 guys after Nikita was ruled ineligible mid-season.

Even the best team in LSU history, the 1981 squad basically played 6 players the bulk of minutes, with Black, Tudor and Johnny Jones minutes going down as the year progressed.

I could go on and on in this vein, but there are several issues this year that concern me more than depth.

We need to use our timeouts better to control the flow of the game.also our lack of depth can get rest.several games we seemed to not use them wisely

IMO with 5 timeouts per half PLUS all the TV TIMEOUTS, if you use your timeouts in a timely manner, the team shouldn't be as fatigued as they have been. Hell with this game against Kentucky, there should be no reason to take timeouts home with you. JMO

Eliminate costly turnovers, make each shot selection count, dominate the board and keep pressure defense on kentucky to make them turn over the ball and alternate game plan, run different defense with different personel and come up with new plays on offense

I do think we are catching them at the right time of the season. Lyles has missed the last two games (and could miss Tuesday night) and a few other players have been said to be beat up and not playing at 100%

I agree. The only player I've really seen significantly affected is Mickey. He's tapped out a couple of games to get his wind back. The others who log big minutes seem to be handling it well.

And I have never thought playing 37 minutes a game as opposed to 32 has a cumulative effect. These kids grow up playing AAU ball where they play more frequently than in a college basketball schedule.

5 timeouts is for the whole game. Not per half.

If both must score 40 points, then we are in trouble..neither one has scored 30 yet, how are they both going to score 40?
