Key Stats for tomorrow's game

LSU Defense vs A&M Offense:
Mond only has 300 more passing yards than Brennan and Brennan's season ended after only 3 games. Mond has played 6 games.
Texas A&M is 67th in the nation for the most plays of 20+ yards. Giving up big plays has been the biggest problem for the Tiger Defense. LSU's defense improved last week but still gave up big plays to Arkansas which is what kept the game close.
Texas A&M is 2nd in the SEC in rushing offense and LSU is 6th in the SEC in rushing defense. This is my biggest concern. Limiting their rushing attack is key to winning this game.
A&M has only allowed 2 sacks this year (Best in the SEC). LSU's pass rush is average. The best game plan for LSU's defense would be to limit blitzing, prepare for the rushing attack and put as many DBs in coverage as possible. We need Stingley and Ricks to be 100% and not commit stupid targeting penalties. Mond will have time in the pocket regardless if will blitz. Their O-line will pick it up. Its best to allow him to sit back there and make a mistake. We know Pelini has ultra simplified the defense, but it would be beneficial to have a corner blitz or delayed blitz as an option. That's our only chance at sacking Mond and making them respect the pass rush.
LSU Offense vs A&M Defense
Texas A&M has the best rushing defense in the SEC. LSU's running game has been disappointing but the offense has learned to play without relying on it.
Overall, A&M's pass defense is pretty good. What's interesting is that they're the best in the SEC in giving up the fewest pass plays of 10+ yards, but their opposing QBs have averaged a 68.1% completion rate (3rd worst in the SEC). Finley should be able to complete short passes. Its how we've moved the ball all year and I dont see A&M being able to stop it.
Another interesting stat, A&M is the 2nd best in the SEC at allowing the fewest Red Zone TDs, but they have the 2nd worst opponent red zone conversion rate. Which means they're great at stopping teams from entering the Red Zone, but if their opponent makes it into the Red Zone, they will most likely score. Will will need to complete a few deep passes and/or start drives on their side of the field from a big play on special teams or forced turnover.

The young guys for LSU will put a complete game together soon. Much like Georgia 2018. Who it happens against? I have no idea but there will be a game where consistency is found.

Sell out on the run. Make Mond beat you. Cover their TE. jimbo likes to run a lot of stuff geared towards getting him the ball and it works because they run the ball so well. Stingley and Ricks can shut down their outside guys.
Not sure what the answer is on offense. I don’t see the running game doing much. Finley needs to be careful with the underneath stuff. He was fitting some tight windows against arky. Felt like a pick was imminent.

This team doesn’t have a Grant Delpit, Greedy Williams, Devin White, Jacob Phillips, Joe Burrow, CEH or nearly as good as a Dline.
Most importantly - in 2018 we had Dave Aranda. We have Bo fricking Pelini now.
Our only chance to win is to pound the rock and play keep away. Our defense has proven over and over again that they’ll give up huge plays every time they’re on the field.
Keep them off the field

Supposed to rain so running/stopping the run will always be important

So he’s gonna throw for 740 yards on us?

The scary thing about our defensive numbers is we haven't even played a good offense yet.

Mond's already beating Brennan by 300 yards. He's saying after this game Mond will be ahead by 750.
750-300=450
450 yards for Mond is probably high, but definitely possible, considering Franks just threw for 340.
