It's pretty ironic to give up on a player before the season begins even for a former JUCO player
The irony is you forgetting to add him to your 2024 prospects list as a top 10 prospect while saying he’s one of the most important pieces to this team who is tagged as a replacement to Morgan.

Yes. Winning a championship was really bad.

They need Kling to step up and be a table setter. Whether he's hitting number 1 or number 9 he has to be one of the guys getting it going for the big swingers.

Someone doesn't have to be top 10 on a team to be important but you would know that

Correct, this team is only going to go so far if Kling and Jones aren't everyday players.

Disagree on Jones, but Kling is going to have to be a key to the offense. I can't see Jones being consistent enough at the plate based on what I've seen in the fall and spring to be counted on.

Who are your key players who you feel we need to stay healthy to make a run?

Braswell, White, and Travinski. Braswell for his defense at SS and White and Travinski for obvious reasons.

This team is so deep that all of these guys have studs behind them. But we will be very good if these guys are consistent.

To stay healthy for us to succeed? Gotta be Tanks, Braswell, and Bingham. In that order. Those 3 guys have to perform, because the drop-off is significant behind them.

Tanks needs to be an All-American at the plate and above-average in the field.

Braswell need to be an upgrade at SS from last year in order to balance the losses in CF and 1B. He does not have to be All-SEC to be an upgrade, but he does have the potential.

Bingham has to be similar to what he was last year - again, to help offset losing Crews. He needs to be an upgrade over Jobert. He is the guy who needs to take the pressure off Kling/Brown/Frey/Pearson at the other 2 OF positions while they get accustomed to playing every day.

Out of all the others, we hope that out of the group of Kling, Frey, Brown, Milam, Pearson, Jones, Larson, Riddell, Paul, and our catching contingent, we have enough people perform AND stay healthy. We have enough depth that it will be difficult to give playing time to some potential studs.

Pitching wise, we have a tone of depth. I think we thought that at this time last year, too, before our pitchers started dropping like flies... I don't think any single pitcher is going to make or break us.

But Tanks, Braswell, and Bingham are three that I don't see how we can replace them without significant dropoff.
