Okay, wait until the day after, then ax Ensminger & make room for Steele's talents.

The 2 big barbeque aces are Ensminger and Stud. That is their main value, as both are mediocre coaches at best.

Mediocre Coach?
In his 1st year as OC, Studs was over one of the top 5 LSU scoring Os of all time.
We've had a very successful FBS OC (BGU) as an OL coach for the previous 4 years and very respectable 1st year as LSU OC.
Steele might be a good LB coach, but it wouldn't be too bright to force out Studs to make room for a position the Chief already has covered.

So Kevin Steele, who was on the short list to be the Defensive Coordinator that ultimately went to Chavis, is now at LSU as an intern. Wow. Good deal for LSU.

This is really flying under the radar, but having an extra body coaching up our young LBs is HUGE.

I dont want K Steele around the program...K Steele couldnt stop West Virginia from running the same sweep play over and over again in the 70 point bashing of Clemson.

K Steele can leave imo

Haven't you morons gotten tired of the BBQ jokes yet?

They stopped being funny 3 years ago, if they ever were.

Nah. Hitting coaches are over-rated.

Can he actually coach and be on the field during games? or is he limited in that aspect? and it is huge for us and our LB core.

Hard to be excited about a guy that had 70 hung on a defense he led. And it wasn't just one game they sucked all year.

It's not like he is going to run the defense. He will be a solid LB coach and it's great for recruiting IMO

Was that all his fault? If Dabo's offence could have kept the ball long enough for the defence to catch there breath maybe it wouldn't have been 70.

Come on 70 points. I know a game can get away from a team sometimes but 70 points is a team quitting on you. But like another poster stated he is not running the defense.
