Hilliard saw the ball on the ground and started to skip off the mound and then remembered he better wait until he saw the ball fielded at short and thrown accurately to first.

Frustrating to think that he’s thrown an additional 12-15 pitches bc of Thompson
About 5 after throwing error in 1st and another 10 or so after sitting on the ball he cutoff
