Kentucky has not been able to stop a nosebleed on the ground. Dilin, Harlem, Leavitt, and Clark ought to combine for 40 rushing attempts by the time this game is over.

Alabama
36 carries, 184 yards, 3 TDs
4 sacks, -29 yards

Texas A&M
35 carries, 187 yards, 2 TDs
0 sacks

South Carolina
36 carries, 233 yards, 2 TDs
1 sack, -1 yard

Notes
- 36 rushing attempts per game for 5.6 yards per attempt
- Players with 10 or more carries averaged 6 yards per attempt
- 60% of the 3rd/4th down conversions picked up against this defense were on the ground
- Marcel Reed (80 yards) and LaNorris (148) both had big games running the ball

They're not very good at stopping the pass either. I'll take the Tigers.

Surprisingly both Reed and Sellers had half of their yards come on one running play. A long of 40 for Reed on a scramble and 74 for Sellers.

Outside of those two scrambles the longest run they have given up was 31 yards to Alabama. Their run defense isn't great but it's far from horrible.

Even if you arbitrarily take those 2 runs away, they are still giving up 4.7 yards per attempt in SEC play. That is still quite bad!

Definitely not trying to take away from the things Kentucky did well, but I did think while watching these games that A&M and SC were foolish to get away from running the ball, especially SC with the lead they had. Specifically on 1st downs and situations when they were ahead of the sticks, I noticed too many pass attempts for how well each of them were running it. Felt like Bama really started putting their thumb on UK when they committed to running the ball in the 2nd half.

With that said, the crowd could certainly play a factor in getting our blocking set up correctly like how it did against Alabama in that 1st half.
