He sounds like an extremely bright man who knows what he is doing. The main part I heard was them talking about being able to relate to guys out of state because Kelvin’s from Georgia.

He also sounds super stoked to be back and said that his wife told him they were coming home (BR). Both of them Atlanta natives.

Kelvin has always brought positive energy to the program. As a player and then as an alum, great ambassador for Tiger Nation.

Welcome home Sheppards!

Kelvin comes off like he’s just a really good dude. He seems like he has a real genuine desire to mentor these kids and give back to LSU. That was a cool anecdote from him about Damone Clark and his desire to be great. Another great add to the staff by Coach O

Me and my family rode in an elevator with him at the team hotel before the 2010 Auburn game.

That’s it. That’s my cool Kelvin Sheppard story bro.

Kelvin and I are Eskimo brothers to an ex LSU gymnast. That’s all I have to add.

Certain hires don’t really excite me. This is not one of those hires.

What’s one of those hires? Kevin Faulk is like a 11/10 hire and Kelvin is also a 10/10. Kelvin can relate to guys from Georgia, he’s really intelligent, he will do a great job and he played here and an 8 year NFL career. KF is an 11 because he was an instrumental part in the future of LSU. Kelvin also played under Bo Pelini.

Man I really enjoyed that. I think Shep was a huge hire because that guy cant be more humble and appreciative to want to give back to LSU and make us as great as possible. He seems like he's all in and is going to bring alot of positive energy to this team. I bet he is going to kill it in recruiting.

What an amazing young man! Now I see why O hired him. He is from a hotbed of talent, played for Pelini, won a National title, played 9 years in the NFL, is as humble as a person can be, he said he is coming home!! OMG, what an amazing man, who will do wonders with developing these kids to be humble, work hard, and go and achieve their short and long term goals.
