Look guys I like the optimism here but realistically we have one returning starter on the DL and have Smith coming back after major surgery. Sure we picked up some guys in the transfer portal but other than the guy from West Virginia the others are just bodies that didn't do much at the other universities. Teams like Bama and Georgia reload with top high school DL talent every year and maybe pick up one or two portal guys. We need to recruit better DL just like we have on the OL so those calling out people for not getting onboard aren't being realistic about this defensive line. I will forgive this year for missing on DT's but if we want to be elite again than we have to recruit better.

In the true freshman class we didn't sign a DT, Mason is coming off of knee surgery, and we signed 3 DE's- Dashawn Womack, Jaxon Howard and Dylan Carpenter. None are nearly ready size wise to play inside.

Either way, he is a transfer and gives it his all every snap. The guys that lsu brought in and has had for years do not give a shite about the purple and gold. Just a stepping stone to the nfl.

Wingo as a transfer has been more Tiger than the majority of players who have been here for years. Dude came over and was all LSU day 1. Should be a team captain next season.
