Louisiana for the 2026 class has an absolutely unbelievable class. 2025 and 2026 will set LSU up for years.

With Saban leaving, LSU could poach some elite guys from their 2024 class pushing us up to #3. With Saban gone, Louisiana's cream rising to the top, and new gold standard defensive hires, LSU could have the #1 class in 2025 and 2026. At the worst we could go four straight years with top 5 classes (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026). That has never happened before.

Nick Saban announced that he would be retiring on Wednesday, and with the landscape-altering decision comes another potentially game-changing outcome.
The entirety of Alabama’s football roster has now been granted the freedom to move on from the program. Any high school recruit in the Class of 2024 can be released from his national letter of intent as long as they have not been registered as “attended” at the university yet. And, any active player on the roster now has a 30-day window to transfer to another program following the announcement of Saban’s retirement.
