Kelly is the perfect players coach, and motivator, he just always knows what to say or do

The Advocate reported on Kelly’s remarks regarding several players, I was amazed at how Kelly handled each player and situation and the message he sends his players in doing so.
Coach Kelly on Baskerville’s blocked punt. “His blocked punt was like teach tape…I mean, it was awesome. He (Baskerville) bent, put the low hand out, took the ball off the foot of the punter. Some young players would have run into the punter in that situation. He’s a smart savy player, and he makes us better when he’s on the field.”
Kelly on Nuss’ interceptions. “He did some really good things and we have to build off that. I think he is somebody that when you’re in the no.2 position, I am not here to make excuses, but you press a little bit.”
Kelly on the return of John Emery Jr. “Lets be careful now. He’s (Kelly) been off a while. To put a lot of expectations on him in his first game. We certainly can’t do that. We’ve got other backs that have done really well. But he will be part of the mix, and make no mistake about it, we’ve seen his capabilities in camp.”

But when he was announced he didn't burst into the locker room to all the players cheering wildly and hugging him.

Nah, you are just amazed he has yet to rip off his shirt and sounding like the cookie monster.

That and he gives the media the respect Saban does which is none!

quote:That was everyone's response probably out of pure shock it happened. Some of the players knew they were in deep shite b/c they were no longer running the program and doing whatever they wanted.

Kelly in his wisdom blames Nuss’ interceptions on his competitive nature, it’s a compliment while also a teaching moment. That’s how you coach, baw!

All those are comments he made about players in his press conference. What does that have to do with him being a players coach and/or motivator? I'm not saying he isn't those things but what do any of those comments have to do with great interactions with players (that would make him a players coach and motivator)?
