I would love to see how our defense ranks on each down. I'm guessing we would be pretty good on 1st and 2nd down.

I believe Brian Kelly articulated the changes that need to happen for this to be a great defense. Everyone do their job and it will be significantly improved. If they change the scheme or get more aggressive on third down as many suggest the defense will have the same results if every player does not do their job. I like the messaging and now the coaches need to coach better and the players need to execute the roles better and more consistently.
