it's been documented that torain is a shanahan favorite

Keiland Williams has 5 touchdowns this season. He had 5 his last 2 seasons combined at LSU.

very happy for him. Hope he sticks in NFL for a long time. Still, I wonder why he wasn't drafted? Even though he didn't start, he played plenty and went to the combine.

And Torain was a street free agent.
who did he play for in Denver?

recovering from that broken leg couldn't have helped

And they both had 1000+ yard seasons as starters. I don't see what NFL success has to do with how the depth chart shook out at LSU. My point is that people anointing KW seem to forget he's behind Clinton Portis AND Ryan Torain on their roster.
williams is in a great system for his talents. shanahan has a long track record of finding guys in the 7th round or as a free agent who make a big impact.
terrell davis is the biggest, but the broncos had other guys like olandis gary come out of nowhere as well. i believe torain was with ms in denver and he was always high on him there.
portis had his groin muscle ripped off the bone. he MAY come back, but isn't the long term answer there. torian has never been able to get healthy.
and just a funny story to conclude, i had keiland in my starting lineup till i read 10 minutes bfore the game that torian would start, so i swapped him for keiland. the good news is i also had vick starting, who has almost single-handedly won the game. i know, fantasy geek.

As I've maintained for years ... Keiland was, is, and always has been better than Charles Scott
Posted on 11/15/10 at 10:34 pm to ATLTiger
i was gonna say, his broken wheel was the reason he wasn't drafted.
Posted on 11/15/10 at 10:34 pm to DBG
All the Hester homers guaranteed Keiland wouldn't do anything in the pros.
Posted on 11/15/10 at 10:35 pm to Louie T
no reason to bring hester into this thread, because hester nut huggers view any praise for other RB's as a slight against ole jake
CAN ANYONE STOP KEILAND WILLIAMS? BOOK THAT PRO BOWL HOTEL RIGHT NOW MY FRIEND!!!!!!

quote:gotta disagree with you on that Stevo, he didn't play plenty that's the problem, I don't know what his combine numbers were, but I knew the guy would a good player in the NFL. I've always said if he had gone to another school like Ole Miss or Vandy or any other, he would be the main back.
he played plenty and went to the combine.
so because of the broken leg, he didn't participate, ok, figured it was something like that because he should have been drafted.
