I lol'd at the 2 or 3 times today we ran the option to the short side of the field today and there was nothing, so Jefferson pitched it to Keiland right at the end so he could take the hard hit instead.

ETA: which he should do, because Jefferson might not make it through the season taking the kind of hits he has so far.

It's really not that many carries. We ran it 42 times this past game, while throwing it 30 times. If our offense can get more into rhythm, its feasible.

It was raining though. I really think we need to throw the ball more, because I still don't think the running game will be nearly as successful as it was last year or the year before that.

Of course, we really can't pass block either.

This team has the weakest lines of any LSU team this decade, on offense and defense.

Yes it is, Dolla. Thanks for noticing. I was drawing parallels between him and Keenum today.

Agreed.

I started a thread about this a few months ago, but to me the major difference and primary reason Scott has struggled this year is a lack of Quinn Johnson. He's great at following a lead blocker and cutting off his block.

Without that... he's not the best...

scott's draft stock is falling like a rock right now.

Even if he had another 1000 yard season, it would have dropped like Lehman stock when he ran a 4.75+ at the combine.

His best option was probably to leave after last year and fake an injury to avoid running a 40 anywhere like LenDale White.

i didnt think Quinn Johnson was that big of a loss, but i think Scott def misses that dude.

Especially since our interior line gets pushed around

Our O-line is pretty much just awful.

I think I've figured out why Scott is struggling, but I don't think Quinn Johnson is the main reason why Barksdale and Black have looked so bad in pass protection.

Yeah... I've decided that any time a coach says, "This [insert random position group on team here] has the potential to be the best one I've had here..."

It really means, "Jesus Christ, we fricking suck here."

I guess the only positive is that in a year or 2 TBob and Dworayk will be seasoned

Would it really be that tough for one of the back-up tackles to move to guard? Take Greg Shaw for example.

True. And I think we have better overall talent in all the backups... other than whoever backsup Barksdale.
