fricking this. I'm a student and think "suck that tiger dick, bitch" and "and beat the shite outta them" are vulgar and annoying too, but after listening to some of y'all bitch and moan and seeing how big of a deal y'all are making this makes me want to yell it too. They're college kids for crying out loud and nothing you say or do is going to change that fact. Our tickets aren't going to be taken away and there's no way to efficiently reprimand 10,000 inebriated college students who think its funny to say dumb shite. So you need to just stop worrying about the student section and just watch the game

Why would anyone "want" to yell this? It's annoying, makes our fanbase look stupid, and it's not in the least bit funny.

I'm a college kid as well. I'm sure many feel as i do and are embarrassed that so many people are making the university look so uneducated and immature

I'm so tired of people bitching about tho on a weekly occurance. "it makes us look bad" " it's offensive" please people. Give me a break. I have a 5 year old and would gladly take him to sit in the student section. It's just words and can not hurt anyone. I feel that the newly found piped in music isn't a result of the student section. It's something new LSU wanted to do like other schools and they are slowly making it more ad more.

You know, I had a lot of fun in college. Got drunk, got laid and acted an arse on plenty of occasions. I've always cursed like a sailor. But "suck that tiger dick" is just dumb and more like junior high school. It's just more ammo for those who think of LSU as a second rate redneck college.

No its not, because the wisconsin students don't try to put those words to songs their band is playing causing the school to put an end to the song. If the lsu students are chanting bad words, whatever. It is what it is and not anything you can do about it, but since they chant along with the song it doesnt give lsu much of a choice but to tell the band to stop playing it. If i were an lsu student, i'd be embarrassed just because of how uncreative and stupid their chants have become.

Seriously. It may be funny the first time, MAYBE. After that just shut the frick up and watch the game. I guarantee the whore two rows in front of you doesn't care how many times you can drop the F bomb.

It's not the band or the band director. The orders come from way above the band director, it's LSU's admin that hands down the orders to stop playing songs.
I'm surprised that they haven't rewritten Hey Fightin' Tigers.

This is a big concern for Alleva. He has said as much in the past, and you'd better believe that he's itching for the chance to take seats away from the students and give them to paying customers.
Other possible consequences are stopping Tiger Band from playing altogether except for just the fight song and maybe one or two other occasions. This ruins the experience for everybody in the stadium.
The vulgar chants aren't cute and they aren't funny. They're stupid, and despite what some students think, they aren't part of the "tradition" of Tiger Stadium. I've heard the argument that it happens at other schools too (Wisconsin), but to my knowledge, the administration at those schools aren't censoring the band like LSU's has done and will continue to do. No matter what the LSU students think, they can't beat the administration.
