Worked for Trey Quinn. He was getting less targets than Bech and went to SMU and was the national leader in receptions. He even played some in the NFL. The NFL never would have happened if he stayed at LSU. JD is a faster Anthony Jennings with, I would argue, less of an arm. What is really telling if he starts again is that the "loaded" QB room can't beat him out.

Probably the right decision. The tape doesn’t lie and he was winning matchups consistently this season.
If the combine shows he still has the burst he’ll be drafted high in the second to a team in need of weapons. Maybe a Chicago or San Diego. People don’t realize how insanely good his sophomore tape is. LSU fans will reclaim him when he’s tearing up the league.

The decision was made because he broke a team rule and would have probably had further discipline moving forward. He didn't all of a sudden change his mind for no reason.
