IMO this is what the CWS championship game would be but we get to open up with it. Root obviously is there number 1 but he has been touched at times this year and has 5 Ls, Kade was pretty good against Ark when we played them why did Arkansas open up as the favorite? Am I missing something?

Because oddsmakers look at the entire season. And they are only a slight favorite. It’s basically a pick em.

I think Schwab field playing big with the wind blowing in will help Kade because he has given up several hrs.

It should be a good game if Frey jones and Milam can continue hitting.

They have a better lineup and deeper bullpen, LSU has the two best SP left in the field though.

Root had a better stat line than Anderson last time they played. Was very close, but he did.

I’ve read that the wind will be blowing out to LF tonight.

Yeah Ark opened up as slight favorites and most money is on LSU I just think the starter has so much to do with the game and I don’t see Root as “elite”

Root is a damn good Pitcher AND he is left handed. LSU will have to manufacture a few runs and we need Monster and Frey to stay hot....going to be a classic. I am predicting a 5-4 win for the good guys.

That’s fine and you might be right. Root and Anderson have basically the same ERA on the season.

Anderson could very well be the better pitcher, but at the end of the day you’ve got two pitchers that basically give up the same amount of runs. One team has a slightly better offense so they are slight favorites. It makes sense.

If we make Root throw strikes, he’ll be out before the 6th.

If we can’t lay off his shite in the dirt, it will be a long night.

Probably it comes down to which LSU offense shows up. If LSU puts up 4+ runs, I like our chances.

In HS playoffs we were facing a leftie with nasty spinners and the kid had no Ls on the year, coach told us don’t even try to swing at anything in the lower half of the zone. Kid threw 40+ pitches in the first inning walking 6…

He’s really not elite. Kade is better imo. Roots biggest advantage is keeping damage to a minimum and allow the offense to score and hand the game to the bullpen. Root has been rocky at times this year but his last 2 years have been great. We will know 2 innings in what Root shows up

He’s the ace for the top seed in the tournament. How is that not elite?
