Defense was Malvito screw up. Crowton had no choice but to throw the ball.

Lol that team was fine until Lee started giving the other teams points. How can a defense survive that? The frustration kicked it. No matter what you did, the QB was giving the other team free points.

only fun game was Arkansas. This was also the "spike the ball year" and Peterson interception no call vs Bama year

Lol, yeah defense was fine. Why were they fired after one year?
Malary and Peveto were compared to Lou Tepper, their defense was Swiss cheese!
Crowton knew Lee was not ready, thats why he brought in the kid from Harvard to run the option while bringing Lee along. Two QB system which meant you didn’t have one. Some people have terrible memories.
The Harvard boy got knocked out in AU game and Lee saved the day bring LSU back from being behind.
All people remember is the pick 6’s but Crowtons offense also had the Freshman Lee throwing for over 300yrds in games that year.
The narrative that one QB changed a Coach’s philosophy for 8 yrs is just asinine. Jimbo and Crowton run their offense. After the ship Miles ran his offense until he was finally fired.

Actually Georgia game was solid. Big last second win over a #14 Bulldog team in Athens.

Similar to the win over Florida in The Swamp in 04, and Auburn last year. There were also hard fought road losses to great teams in Auburn in 04 and Alabama in 09 and 17.

The rest of those seasons were pretty boring, aside from some unforgettable beat downs at the hands of UGA in 04, MSU in 17, and the end game fiasco at OM in 09. Troy in 17 was memorable for all the wrong reasons as well.

All ended in painfully boring and frustrating Bowl games that left those seasons better off forgotten.

2004, 2009, and 2017 were all equally mediocre and unremarkable in any way.

2004 and 2017 were shite shows

I don't really remember 2009 except for beating a good Washington team in Seattle

edit: And that was the year with the fricking Penn State mud bowl! ugh!!!
