I have been waiting for this thread. The dude could light us up for a ton of yards and tds . Lets remember that A & M put up over 600 yards[600] Against Bama. JFF is licking his chops.

Ha thats just what I would do. Sell out to stop Evans and play man up on the other WRs and spy Manziel with a fast LB(Kwon) or our best tackling DB(Eugene). Would also have at least 5-6 DBs on the field with 1-2 LBs in Kwon and Barrow, with Kwon being the only LB when we go 6 Dbs. Welter shouldnt sniff the field this game.

Rr21 is the only db that can match up with him. Him not knowing the play book can't be an excuse cause all he has to do is cover him all game

Bump him on the line every single play, where ever he lines up, to throw off timing and routes.

Here's an additional thought...Whoever we have on him sings Johnny Cash songs out loud to him when lining up...that will through off his timing...then our defensive linemen speak all defensive adjustments in French...more confusion for them (unless they're bilingual)...finally Jim Hawthorne and Doug Moreau harmonize Hold That Tiger together over the pa system...and we win. Not too bad, huh?

Here is a thought let's sacrifice player for player. Have Welter target Evans helmet and concuss him. So Welter gets thrown out, Evans gets laid out. And that is a Win/Win in my book!!!

LOL Luv this! Perfe!ct!

Folsom, I actually thought it was fool proof until TigerFan-in-bamaland figured out the one flaw in the plan

Not sure a press defense will work on a guy the size of Gronkowski. Also, the only way to have white underneath and robinson on him would be to line up 2 dbs on Evans. If white is staying underneath, you are running a zone every play.....but robinson could play man with evans.

Evans needs a ton of attention, but the real problem is they connect on scramble plays. So you really have to just keep a guy on him. Who knows? It's just so easy to get a guy that size the ball. Somebody will have to man up and just have his number all day.

What's strange here is Manziel may have all day to throw. He actually typically does a bit worse reading coverages in the pocket. That may work out for us. We may shock the world. I can't imagine holding them under 450 yards.....probably going to be pushing 600 or more.

I like your plan. Really enjoyed the "Bill Bates" Dime role for Alexander.

Can they run on us?

I wish i could say no, but so far everybody has been able to run on us haha.

But you gotta decide whats the bigger threat and what do you want to try and take away from TAMU: TAMU running the ball on us or Manziel chunking the ball down field to Evans??

I completely agree, that u have picked the right poison to try and deal with. They want to drop back and pass or let Johnny run first and foremost. We arent good enough on D to play a straight up 4-3 against Johnny. He's so freaking good.

If we can get them one dimensional dropping back, we increase our odds of winning this game especially if the crowd is very loud and into the game.

But if they can run on us, we will not win. IMO

What defensive schemes do u see Chavis running in this one? How much of your plan do u expect to see some form of Saturday and what part of it would surprise u?

He typically plays contain on a mobile qb. Keep him in the pocket. Give them tons of yardage with underneath stuff and limit scores in the red zone. Think the d we played vs West Va or even vs A&M last year. I just don't think we'll limit their scoring. If JM doesn't turn it over much, we'll need 50ish to win this.

Also, is there any truth to the rumor that Juice in an interview today said the team was not united and morale was low?
