Does LSU have the shittiest field in the SEC?

Not even close. Tiger Stadium turf firmly #11 in the S.E.C.. We're not dead last #12 only because Ole Miss couldn't grow grass, gave up and put Field Turf in. That's probably where we're headed I'd say. Yep, let's sink to the level of OM and put the plastic stuff in. (Instead of spending the money and hiring an experienced and professional Turf Manager)

It's not that hard to grow sturdy football turf in the South. Hell, AA class Pensacola Catholic HS has a gorgeous field that looks better than LSU's. If high schools can even do it, why can't they do it at LSU?

I will wait and see what happens tonight and into the season though. Hope for the best, but expect the worse.

BTW, Florida Field is holding up pretty good in the rain against Troy. A properly maintained football field ISN'T supposed to turn into a muddy mess just because it rains........

If plastic is "better", then yes.

Wait and see how the field holds up tonight and on into the season. Maybe we'll all be surprized. I'm not counting on it, but you never know...........

dude...while I agree that our field can look bad (I have advocated in past posts for field turf)...I'm still patiently waiting for sfp to give us insight as to what he does find appealing about the LSU football program. You're obviously not a dummy...why so negaive?

There is a BIG difference in being negaTive and just being realistic/telling it like it is. In JUST talking about the FIELD, there are absolutely no excuses. Everything "negative" that's being discussed about the field is factual and based in reality. I don't agree with everything the boy (SFP) says, but criticism of the field is 100% warranted based on what we've seen in the past. Maybe the field will hold up this season. We'll know soon........

It will be ok for awhile, then turn into a mudhole by the end of the game. If we aren't careful, could wind up being an "equalizer" in slowing down the ground game.

Yes, because it's logical to say the field "sucks" or "will suck" before a game has ever even been played on it. Now that's good posting.

I may watch the USC game tonite instead of the LSU game...

Monsoon will make a shitty field shittier
Miles will force Crowton to be unimaginative
Soft zone will suck
Fat players will be tired
Great players won't play because of bbq sauce
Players will be slow because of too much Moffit
Uber-star Shepard probably won't get to play
Lazy o-line won't block anyone
Old people won't like piped in music
Uniforms aren't ultra-modern looking
Low IQ Louisiana fans will cheer plays that aren't really great

Post of the day.
