Those hillbillies are shite-canning Avery. Also confirmed Wade’s name was mentioned “half in jest” (obviously they know that it would be extremely difficult, to the point of ridiculous ) more than once. However, that’s where their minds are.

According to most Bama fans their admins are terrified to hire anyone to coach one of the non-football programs that isn’t squeaky clean. For obvious reasons.

I doubt Bama hires Wade. They won’t risk hiring a man who may be guilty for paying recruits in basketball and jeprodize their athletic program becoming under investigation and getting their football program caught

Avery Johnson was not as good a hire as Anthony Grant was. I am not surprised. He is not a great coach.
Bama may be a football school, but they have had some great teams from the 80's -- Derrick McKey, Jim Farmer, Melvin Cheatum, Keith Askew...90's with Robert Horry, Hollywood Robinson, Antonio McDyess...and beyond. They are strong program when they recruit their own state, much like LSU. They need a Will Wade or Mike White. I would not be surprised though if they took a shot at Andy Kennedy or dare I say...Ricky Pitino? They have funds.
