Just got home from the game...

And I must say that Dean has been looking uncomfortable at the plate. I know it is early in the season, but he is swinging at balls WAAAAY off the plate and wiffing on hanging breaking balls that he should be crushing. He's supposed to be our senior leader at the plate. Anyone else noticing this?

His average has been good overall, but there are so many pitches that seems like he should be killing. I just want him to do well. Such a nice kid to talk to.

Like the OP said, he's hitting consistently but I agree he's not fully locked in yet. Once he gets locked in because we know it'll happen, watch the heck out.

dude... chill. he's batting almost .400. ya so he has only one hr... he started worse last year. i'm just glad to see guys like hanover doing well when our studs have one bad day. I feel sorry for our competition after the weather warms

jesus christ we are fricking 8 games in he is batting .400 and we have this stupid bullshite. id rather him be "down" early and heat up as the year goes on then start hot and slump

I'm not saying he is "down", batting .400+ is great! I just am anxious to watch him blast them out the park like we know he can.

Dean started out as cold as an unthawed butterball turkey last year. Dude heats up toward early mid season...which is kinda a great time to heat up. He's been putting the bat on the ball. Let him get dialed in and see.
