I agree. I'm not trying to stick my head in the snow. I really and truly believe with the people that we have we should be able to make this a one time occurrence. In the long run (at the end of the season) however I would definately support getting a coordinator. And not because the 2 coordinator system doesn't work.......cuz I'm pretty sure Florida does that with Strong and Mattison.
I think the biggest thing Saturday night was gettin punked for 20 points almost instantaneously and not having the leader and experience to get us right back. We DID fight back, we CAME back and played offense AND defense. But when they answered right back in the 4th quarter......we didnt have what it took to get back into it. I have faith that it won't happen again like that.
I agree completely. I always thought we should have hired a quality DC. I think this game was the medicine that will cure the nagging illness.
I think we'll bounce back like the Champions we are.

So glad that someone started this thread. I understand that they lost the game and they did a bang up job of losing this game, but that doesn't mean that I will come on here bad mouthing all the players. Those guys work hard everyday to try and give their fans a good game. Unfortunately, not every season is going to go undefeated. Believe me I wish we could. Before I do like many fans and call the season over because they lost i'm going to wait and go ahead and cheer them on next weekend and if by some really small chance they don't win next weekend, I'll still be cheering them on the Saturdays after that.

I remember watching those games just hoping LSU would stay within 21. The old ball coach really drilled us back then.
And Meyer was trying to do it as well. Why did they try to pass the ball with about 10 minutes left in the game up 4 scores? It was LSU's job to stop them. After LSU sacked Tebow for trying to throw the deep ball, Meyer started running the ball.

urben is a scumbag---that dude kicks kittens whenever he can----he runs up the score to 51 with a few minutes left in the game? no kneeling? i guess because he knows most voters and so called experts dont do anything but look at final scores. plus hes a scumbag

Putting you head in the sand does not make the problem go away. We have been having problems with our D for a while....refusing to see it will only make it worse. We have been allowing too many pts to minor teams... this is a wake up calls, not only to fans, but to Miles also. I think he has been trying to be a "good guy" and "performance' has to rank higher. Business is Business. I also do not think the sky is falling in, but make no mistake, we are in the SEC and the film will be viewed and the problem exploited until fixed.
Totally agree. I'm just glad the eyes were opened early on in the season rather than toeing the line of "were-marginally-average-on-D-but-were-still-winning-so-who-cares". The thing I don't get is that an L is an L no matter if in triple OT or if in regulation by 30. No bonus points for huge wins/losses. We need to learn from it, not book our hotel rooms in Shreveport because of one loss as it seems some are doing. That--I believe--is the sentiment that is being addressed in this post not yours. I agree with you man.
And to those posters, have fun watching Vandy in the Independence Bowl and take plenty of pictures!

Very silly thread. realist are bandwagoners? Though we have been a fan for 30 years? Don't think so. Yeah, I could forget the Au-MSU-Florida defensive gaffes, pretend that we are a NCG caliber team, know enough about football to look at personel, schemes and effort and see a serious problem and lie about it. Yeah, that makes me more of a fan. According to this logic, not supporting every freaking thing that occurs in Washington makes me less a patriot. I hope like hell this gets turned around. Even if it doesn't I will always be a tiger fan. Hell, I lost a fiancee because I left for a weekend to go watch the Tigers play in the SECCG in '03. But, because I mention there is a problem, I am not a fricking fan. (il)logic.

Good to hear it, Cosmo. And btw, I'm still a fan of your avatar. How about a thread worth of her? That would be just what the doctor ordered after watching the beatdown this weekend...

agreed maybe these assholes who come out and tailgate then head home with no intention of going to the game will quit showing up. All they are doing is doing whats popular, its become the "in" thing to do. They ruin it for the real fans.
