Josh Pate is a complete moron. Florida State was in no position to hire Kiffin with the LSU job and Florida job open.
Their financial situation will take a few years to resolve and that is why they haven’t moved on from Norvell.

Norvell is one of a long list of one hit wonders in ncaa football. He had a qb that had that team undefeated. Without that kid they were a 3 loss team. Before and after, they are average and will remain average until they get a legit qb and/or change the coach.
