Exactly. You could say the same thing about the USC game and even the Florida or ATM games due to injuries and what not. I think our record balanced out last year.

Unacceptable* outcome. We hired Kelly to be a 10-2 or better coach
This is a different conversation. This was a conversation about Josh Pate picking LSU to go 8-4 and to be fair 8-4 is a likely outcome. Yes it would be unacceptable if we did go 8-4.

That dude is clearly trolling or he doesn't realize he's contradicting his own argument. Texas despite going to the playoffs last year has more question marks than LSU. Texas has bigger question marks than LSU on offense. LSU's question marks are offensive line and RB depth. That's about it. They are loaded at WR and top end of their RB/TE pool. Obviously LSU has one of the best QBs in the country but they snagged the best C in the country and a very good G in the portal both who will start alongside an OL that has recruited well. Texas is running into the same problem as LSU only they have a completely unproven QB who could be boom or bust behind a possible shaky OL. Media assumes they will be good because it's Texas and they have the most money, not because it actually logically makes sense. They just assume they can buy their roster every year to be good.
