no slums in Marrero

Their are some rough spots in Marrero, but there were less back then. I'm not sure where in Marrero he grew up, but I went to Shaw a few years after him and most of students including athletes came from solid middle class families. Even Woodmere(Not Marrero, but a Shaw feeder with guys like Ryan Clark who I did go to school with) was nice back then.

Thanks for the feedback

You are most welcome.

I am certainly not bursting with sources and inside information, but I did get to watch Joseph as the head coach at Langston a couple times, here a few years ago.

His on field presence is strong. He commands respect. His players love him, and the fans did too. I was unaware at the time, but half of his roster was from the NO area.

Langston is a pretty tough town, and from what I gather, Joseph was able to keep his players out of serious trouble for the most part. That's no easy feat, as many distractions exist in Langston that can easily derail a young athlete's career- and life. I feel very strongly that it speaks volumes about Joseph's character.

Catholic league guy done good. That still holds a lot of weight in metro New Orleans living rooms.

We need to get a billboard up and Facebook page started featuring New Orleans natives. Specifically those who are disgruntled former employees of Top 20 football schools. The coaches could then really do their student athletes a big favor and recommend junior colleges and stuff.

Yes, that's really how ridiculous this is.
