the #3 player nationally would be someone behind wiggins or parker or whoever and one other player. that's just a fact. im sorry if you disagree.

Quarterman

Is not a 2 at all. 1 and 3

And that makes no sense at all. He has the handles to play point, the length to play three and the scoring ability to play both. That means he can play the two or simply as a wing (2/3).

He isn't a shooter, which means he's not a 2.

Make that 2 possibly 3 others

Either way, you = 0, everyone else = winning

Even if that analysis is set in stone (though he has a nice stroke and has shown he can be a high-volume scorer), he doesn't have to be "a shooter" to play the two. He has proven he can be a scorer/slasher. It depends on the lineup as a whole how he will be used.

Dont really want a guy who cant shoot play the 2, doesn't make much sense considering our 1 and 3's arent shooters either.

Being a scorer and a being a shooter is 2 very different things. I've seen a decent bit of Quarterman, he is very shy from beyond the arc for a reason.

Fine, you just explained why you may not want him at the two for LSU based on overall personnel. But he can certainly play the two.

On that note, I think a backcourt of Quarterman/Stringer can be a very good combo since they can switch defensive responsibilities while Q runs the point and Stringer looks for his shots. Of course, Hickey is still the starting point.

I think we'll see this a good deal, with Quarterman running the point.

I still like my initial starting line-up. Either way, this is going to be a very good team. I am excited at the direction JJ has us going.

Well everything still hinges on job. No job and coleman will back up the 4. Which sucks cus he should be at 3 and may be missused his whole career here.
