I hope this happens. But based on what i've seen thus far, I'm not very confident much will change.

He made much better decisions in the bowl game than he did all year. We just have to hope that a whole year of experience makes a world of difference. If any other QB takes a meaningful snap next year we're fricked because that means it's too late and Miles has given up. We're all riding JJ for better or worse.

Jefferson showed a ton of improvement

no he didnt.
his qb rating vs uwash was BY FAR the highest of the year.

JJ's improvement over the course of last season was little to none.. fact of the matter is if he's not SIGNIFICANTLY better this year itll be more of what we've experienced last 2 seasons.
watch and see.

I think my main point is that they have very similar physical skill sets and potential. Physically, the ceiling is high. I think if JJ can mature as a leader, then he will have plenty of success, but who knows if that leadership development will occur.

Some would rather take their chances with the green white qb rather than Jordan Jefferson.

Should tell you something

this race card a select few of you insist on pulling every single fricking time a qb thread starts is becoming nausiating.

It reminds me of the "we need to hire more black coaches" crowd.
I think some of you would pull harder for JJ simply b/c he is black. Its almost as if you would prefer the qb to be black.
Funny part of it is, you people have the audacity to sit here and point the finger at others implying they are racist b/c they happen to not be as optimisitc about JJ as you are.

I cant speak for other people, but as far as im concerned only reason Im not big on JJ, is b/c I simply just do no believe hes that good.
For our teams/offenses sake I hope he proves me wrong.

Yet you go out of your way to defend Lee when he was way worse? FWIW, I think the race card is ridiculous but sometimes it's valid.

JJ did NOT improve from game 1 to game 12.
JJ is still 10x better than JLee.
JJ still has a lot of upside if coached properly and given support by his 0 line and running game.
JLee is FINISHED at LSU as a starting QB. It's over. Let it go.
JJ needs to show improvement this year or it's time for another QB.
I pray that we never see JLee on the field as a Tiger EVER again. If we do, that means our QB situation is shite for the next 2 years.
JJ needs to improve his on the field demeanor, and ACT LIKE A LEADER. Stop POUTING and giving the SOUR PUSS FACE every time something doesn't go his way.
JJ is still young and can be a good QB for LSU, he needs good coaching though which he doesn't have...our coaching staff sucks at QB development.

Yours, and the other conservabots problem, is that you focus on the 1% that do that, and not the 99% that don't. Just ignore idiots and quit giving them a platform by recognizing them.

that's false imo. Watching the 2nd Half of the Mud Bowl Jefferson was checking off , and doing things he couldn't/didn't in the early part of the season last year

He checked into the Lafell TD play.
