he was bad. but why does this make JJ such a great qb? people talk like hes a top qb in the SEC... i don't see it yet. hopefully we do.

8-5 in 2008, bowl win
9-4 in 2009, bowl loss

is there really a difference from 2008 to 2009? '08 had a statistically better offense and '09 had a statistically better defense.

our qb situation has sucked arse the last two years, and the coaches need to carry much of the blame. you can legitimately place some fault on perrilloux as well. i'm definitely pulling for JJ this year because he's the man the coaches have decided to put there. it's frustrating to watch, and i'll be glad to see things shaken up if we have a 2010 offense comparable to 2009

JJ did NOT improve from game 1 to game 12. TRUE

JJ is still 10x better than JLee. FALSE

JJ still has a lot of upside if coached properly and given support by his 0 line and running game. /your forgetting that he's the one that has to want to get better.

JLee is FINISHED at LSU as a starting QB. It's over. Let it go. I aint heard no fat lady, but I must admit id rather see Garrett

JJ needs to show improvement this year or it's time for another QB. with in the first two games, or its over, not a whole year...TWO games

I pray that we never see JLee on the field as a Tiger EVER again. If we do, that means our QB situation is shite for the next 2 years. /think you went over the top here...Lee is a good kid...apologise

JJ needs to improve his on the field demeanor, and ACT LIKE A LEADER. Stop POUTING and giving the SOUR PUSS FACE every time something doesn't go his way. / TRUE

JJ is still young (False, Jr., UPPERCLASSMAN)and can be a good QB for LSU, he needs good coaching though which he doesn't have...our coaching staff sucks at QB development. [/quote]

it doesn't. it clearly makes him the best QB on the team.

you're smarter than this. look at the play of the QB position and you'll see it was substantially better under JJ than Lee.

his qb rating vs uwash was BY FAR the highest of the year.

How do you know he didn't check off into any other plays? How do you know he didn't go through his progressions? You aren't even intelligent enough to answer the most basic questions in this thread, let alone see the progression of a college QB.

point being he was doing things in that game, that he couldn't early in the season (ie improving) try to keep up

I didn't post anything racist. People who want Lee or Garrett obviously think JJ is just "dumb" or "not heady". You type like you're 14. I bet you dig ditches for a living.

i'll give you that one.

ignoring all emotion and team unity, i think the '08 offense was better as a whole. but, the team was drained with JL in and confidence was very low. JJ didn't make many mistakes with the football this year, which is definitely and obviously an improvement. at times, though, he seemed to fall behind the pace that our team needed to be successful in moving the ball. too slow of a coaches-qb-huddle-play process IMO.

it's clear that the coaching staff is all in with JJ at the helm. i just wish it was an open competition at every position.

I think a big problem for JJ was the "mere cat" offense. The plays were getting in too late and it didn't give him time to adjust and think about what he was doing/about to do. Even the WRs said it was confusing at times and hated getting the play with 5 seconds left on the play clock.

yea and halfway through the season they started phasing that out and the offense seemed to run smoothly at times. the offense as a whole was good for 2 or 3 stellar drives per game. the team needs an identity in order to move the ball consistently and efficiently
