His stats are identical to McElroy's stats and there are bama fans on the sec rant saying how wonderful (as a first year starter)his year was. So are they just delusional or is JJ being blasted for no reason on here.

He's leading them to a potential national title this year.

why is everyone of your threads about Jefferson. Are you in love with him? The difference is he knows how to win. He actually threw for a touchdown against UF. He shows up in big games, and leads his team to victory. If you have ever watched football you can obviously tell that he is a much better quarterback than JJ.

His stats may be the same as JJ's, but he has better coaching, and pocket presence.

It also helps when you have a defense that can actually get off the field.

when the offense goes three and out almost every single drive its kind of hard to stay off the field..and yes part of this is due to no passing game (JJ's fault). When you constantly have 8 in the box none of these guys are going to be able to do anything.

really this is only my secon thread about jj. Its to call out dumb asses who say it is all jj's fault when he has done far better than could be expected on a team with no running game and even worse pass blocking. Also an oc who hasn't played to our strength in 2 years. If you dont wanna post on it then don't. Dumbass

He many drive killing sacks did McElroy take?

McElroy appears to be capable of a quick decision.

McElroy also didn't shite his pants against Florida.

McElroy is also a red shirt junior. McElroy also had a running game to take the pressure off him. Why the frick are we comparing a Sophmore QB that led this team to a 9-3 regular season, with a porous Oline, which led to no run game, and an OC who has yet to develop an adequate passer to a Ginger who sucked it up in most games? Ingram led that team to the title game not McElroy.

Alabama OL and DL are light years ahead of LSU's.

Thats the difference in QBs

Alabamas strong OL provided holes for the RBs and great protection for the QB. Jefferson has almost no running game and running for his life on passing downs

Alabama has a strong DL and very stout defense which gave the ball back quickly to the offense. LSU's DL generated little or no pressure and played a soft bend dont break scheme. Consequently the Defense stayed on the field a helluva long time and gave the offense fewer chances.

The game is won in the trenches and LSU is soft on both sides of the ball.

Who led the team IN the title game? What is the most important position on the field. Thats right, the quarterback. If you have a good quarterback your going to win close games. If not, your probably not going to win.

The only real difference (BUT A BIG ONE) is that JJ took 30 sacks to McElroy's 13 sacks. But,McElroy did have a solid running game to back him with quite possibly this year's Heisman winner.

I don't understand how JJ can have 30 sacks, a sorry arse OLine, no running game, Crowton, and Miles, yet still have comparable stats to McElroy.

Would it be outrageous to think that if JJ had played with McElroy's cast that he would've had far better stats? Because JJ had some shite working against him from a blocking and coaching standpoint. Not to mention that opposing offenses could generate 10+ play/7 minute drives against our defense that reduces the number of offensive opportunities we get.

Also, comparing a 2nd yr sophomore to a 4th-yr junior makes alot of sense as well.

Many of you idiots don't realize what we have in a player like JJ. He played Bama much better than the Heisman winner Tebow did until he got hurt because he kept taking shots due to our OLine sponsored by Charmin.

People seem to forget how good Bama's OL was this year...imagine what JJ could have done with that line too...

I see in a lot of threads how JJ has improved over the course of the season. Is it me? Personally, I don't see it. I hope I'm wrong and someone can tell me how he has improved.

I saw Jefferson all season.
I saw the same things from Jefferson that I saw in all the games I attended.

On most plays a receiver was wide open and JJ either didn't see him (despite having plenty of time) or he waited to make the throw AFTER the receiver: (a) waved to his girlfriend in the stands, (b) traded email adresses with the DB or linebacker trying to cover him, and (c) re-tied his shoe laces.

JJ has done a good job being very conservative with the ball. Few turnovers, decent stats.

But, IMHO, he needs to accelerate his game.

Too many missed opportunities.

JJ has horrible pocket presence. He can't find secondary receivers, and stuggles with deep ball. One of the reasons we struggled with the run is because many defenses stuffed the box and dared us to throw deep. JJ consistently wasn't up to the task. And yes, the OL was poor this year as well.
