True that. Like Dr. Lee and Mr. Freeking Hyde, bro.

Fair enough...but I just have this feeling that JL is going to get over the hump. I think Crowton has to call passes to his strengths and once he is more consistent in doing that, he will be fine.

when lee is on he's pretty impressive, but he's on for, at most, like 1/4 of the game

when he's on it's always like 9/10 for 130 yards and 2 TDs

will miles allow this?

crowton running his offense (which suits Lee) would mean no i-form. no power running. little charles scott

it's a catch 22 and we all know miles wants to go i-form and run up the gut over and over and win that way or lose that way

I see your point and I understand what you are saying.

I had a chance to watch a replay of the Bama game on Friday and Gary Danielson made a great point when he said Lee was very comfortable throwing out to the "numbers" and not to the center of the field. Perhaps we should call more sideline routes, etc.

yet Lee has struggled in the 4+ wides from the shotgun, and looked good in playaction off Scott. I think he's too easy to read or fool from the spread sets right now.

this is only recent

early in the year lee owned the middle of the field

a few zone blitzes (or similar plays) ended that

when we don't have a deep threat, yes

he's hit or miss

his best success is from the spread, no-huddle

it's always been his best

lee is going to throw and throw and throw

Please say it ain't so....

the coaches are going to have to develop a gameplan for him

Yea, like some kind of route that requires a qp to throw off his back foot

things will slow down when we have an offense built for his strengths, and he can learn that offense and the reads that it requires.

Things will only slow down when we, as fans, start doing drugs

he's on pace to throw about 20 TDs this year

that's not too bad for a freshman QB who has been put in some shitty spots by our bad defense

this isn't correct. Miles wants balance, balance, balance. He's said it a million times. I would agree with you if you said he tries to hard to be balanced sometimes. If somethings working, just do it, screw balance. If we are running downhill, keep running until it doesn't work anymore.

Do you even watch the games? I mean the kid has 14 TDs this year. While he has been inconsistent, he has shown a lot of positive attributes this year. He has a huge arm and throws a nice deep ball, which we should exploit more. His flaws are things that can be ironed out. The raw physical tools are there.

miles wants balance, balance, balance, in the simplest of offensive ways

hell even last night we had keiland in for a bit, he ran well, went outside, then GOT BENCHED

last year miles preferred to lose by running up the gut with hester than by changing things up

Yes he does

I agree, cause the short ones are killing us

I keep looking for improvement, if he would only throw the ball while moving forward. Yes, i know, he has accomplished this on occasion, but it needs to be consistent. This shouldn't be a hard thing to teach. Even if a hurd of elephants is on your trail.

Basically, I agree with you all, we're just so spoiled

He will get there. Learning pains are never fun. But it will pay off for us in the long run.
