Just talked to a friend that was at JH last night. Said that most Aubie fans were ok, save for numerous corndog and Katrina comments. Finally, he just told a group of them, "corndogs, Katrina? Seriously, that's the best you can produce? That's about as effective as your halftime adjustments were, dumbasses."

It was my first trip to Auburn as well, and I thought J-H was a nice facility. The fans were very loud; I thought it was impressive.
Yes, there were rude AU fans, but as someone said, they don't get a warm reception at TS either. Overall, I had a great experience; I'd go back.

Biggest post game traffic cluster f##k I ever witnessed anywhere.
I don't know why there was such a cluster last night, normally it's not like this and it usually moves pretty good. It makes me wonder if there was a wreck somewhere that was gumming up the works.

Anyway, if UF is worse than AU, no need to go there.
Coming out of lurkdom to throw in my two cents:
I realize I am highly biased, but last year I was sitting in the UF student section with some Auburn fans surrounded by Gators, and they were INCREDIBLY obnoxious, and the worst thing anyone said to them was "USF." They, however, spent the whole game saying how stupid our cheers were, how bad our stadium was, and how the girls were not "classy" for not wearing dresses. Coming from two girls wearing faded arse sundresses and a guy with mud all over his feet, this was just a tad ironic.
Having said all that, I will admit some UF fans are douches. I'm sorry! If you run into me I'll be nice at least.
Good job beating AU by the way, I was rooting for you guys.

Dude, let me tell you a little story....when I was fourteen, I visited my sister at UF during LSU week, and I got sexually harassed by LSU fans just walking around the Florida campus. When I was fourteen. And I look fourteen now and that was ten years ago, so who knows how young I looked then.
BUT I then stumbled upon this board about a year ago and revised my opinion on LSU fans, because you guys seem articulate and overall pretty awesome.
Summarizing: some UF fans are douches. Some LSU fans are douches. Mostly though, LSU and UF fans are awesome.
And Venicetiger, I believe the only beatdown will be coming from UF.

Are you a chick? If so, pics?

I am surprised by the amount of homophobia present in these posts. Get a clue!

The best part of the night, other than the victory of course, came when they pumped in "Living On A Prayer" through the PA. As soon as it went off the LSU band started playing the same song...........
And once again the Auburn fans started singing the chorus until they realized it was the LSU band playing it.

Yes I am, but please don't assume that lack of penis = lack of football knowledge.....at least in my case.
To the picture thing, errr....one must be wary of creepy people on the internet. Not meaning you, just anyone who could possibly see them. If you're really curious, I get sexually harassed on a continual basis, so I assume you would not find me unattractive.

There was as much consistent noise in that place as Tiger Stadium.
Are you serious? Compared to N. Texas. Sure.
Compared to a big SEC game like the one played last night? Not even close.
Geert does see things through different colored glasses though. He consistently pumps up Jimbo Fisher compared to Crowton, etc. I'm pretty sure he's not an LSU fan.

Jordan Hare? Seriously?
Obviously you'd list LSU. But what other stadiums you HAVE been to would live up to your standards?

Why, in the name of Christ do people go to games & feel like they have to yack on the phone is baffling. Your friends & family know you're there, they're likely watching, the game was exciting, and crowd noise has to make it difficult to hear. Cell phone users at games![]()
First time I attended a game in Baton Rouge at Tiger Stadium, I called home to tell my wife how great it was (took me about 5 minutes to get a line out). I had great seats, on the 50, row M. I told my wife I could almost see the ghost of Huey Long walking on the sideline. It was a halloween weekend game LSU vs. Ole Miss.

Was my first time at JH last night as well. Was very impressed by the crowd and the stadium in general. Thought it was much louder and consistent than Bama was last year.
As much as i hated the piped in music, the crowd did get bouncing when they played it...that is the goal right?

I've never said Fisher was better or worse. I've have stood strong that Fisher was great for LSU & is very underappreciated. Until last year, LSU experienced its best offensive production under his guidance. But some LSU fans blast the guy like he was Lou Tepper.
TS has moments where the crowd noise is likely unmatched. But the consistently, is not much different than what you'll hear at UF, Auburn, or UGA. If you don't think TS has changed over the years when it comes to sustained noise, you're deaf.
You're right, I don't see everthing through purple & gold glasses. I'm a bit more realistic.
And if you think I'm not an LSU supporter, that's your issue.

It's no Death Valley, but my favorite that I have visited so far.
BAMA
Kentucky
Miss. St.
Ole' Miss
Are all worse.

I thought the stadium and atmosphere was great. They stayed loud more consistently than Alabama did when I went there last year. Tiger Stadium definitely has moments where it's deafening. I never experienced that last night.
I was never treated poorly by their fans or saw any of them behaving like a bunch of douches. A lot of the students we met there just blew us off and kind of came across like asses, but they never did anything I wouldn't expect to witness at an SEC football game.
And please spare the "they look like queers" comments. I'd much rather students upkeep the tradition of dressing up a little bit to games than looking like complete slobs.

You can replace UF with any SEC school, well maybe not Vandy. I have met douchebags from just about every SEC school. But for the most part, I have met really great football fans.
