if they all had Crews’ eye and patience at the plate, we’d run rule every single game

He's battng .366/11/36

He's a prototypical power hitter. Yes he strikes out a lot. But when he makes contact he gets hits and homers. He is the least of this teams very few real problems.

He’s also a true freshman. He will get better at seeing pitches and learn some patience. His ceiling is through the roof.

Yep.

I posted this last week on a Jones thread:

quote:

For those who are hating on Jones...

For those that are, it’s ridiculous. He’s a 6’4” 230lb power hitting freshman that’s learning the pitching at this level. Strike outs are to be expected. Anyone that thinks otherwise is naive. It would be different if he was batting .120 and lost every at bat.

Are you the same performer in the bed as you were when you were 18?

Experience matters and you get better the more times you do something.

I’m sure you have all the answers to help him improve on his .366 batting average as a true freshman.

There’s some real baseball geniuses on here.

This jones kid you speak of. Is this the same one who hit it 468 feet yesterday? I think the discipline can come. He has next level power at 18.

Do you think what Crews does can simply be taught?

He’s a freshman batting .371 with 11 home runs.

You’re an idiot. Everyone playing baseball needs to work on something. Does he have things to work on, Yes but Dude is killing it as a freshman.
