That’s just false and is based on your idiotic take saying that anyone who likes McMahon automatically loves Wade which is pure stupidity but that’s where you live.

Can’t refute the argument so start the ad hominem attacks. Another common trope with your kind

That’s not what he said (liar)
He disagreed with you so you called him a fan of McMahon. (Proof is on page 5)

Before this week I would 100% agree with you. However, it's more difficult to presume Woodward does care about MBB all that much when he's (through the media) preemptively announced the HC who has "led" LSU to being the worst program in the SEC over the last three seasons will return for a 4th season.
I don't know if people truly understand just how bad the program has been under McMahon in his tenure. To contextualize that, unless LSU finds a way to win two more games this season, they will have had the fewest wins (overall) of any SEC program over the last 3 seasons and the fewest SEC wins during that same period. And that would include seasons by Missouri and (likely) South Carolina where neither won a single SEC game.
This is the worst 3 year stretch of LSU basketball since 1995-1997, which was the end of the Dale Brown era.

Wrong, he said he loved Wade so he couldn’t be a mcmen.

quote:that’s not what I did. I specifically listed the amount of bids the SEC received in 10 years in the 90s vs 5 years of present day and it’s nearly the same.
Well that’s a nice deflection but comparing it to other conferences of the time isn’t exactly comparing the two SEC eras and using one season to represent an era is also not “objective”.
You take that as “everyone else is bad” because it helps your argument.
I understand that the SEC by and large is much more invested in basketball, has much better coaches, and is doing much better in recruiting than it ever has, which has resulted in a better product. I’m using like 4 objective measurements to determine why I think the SEC is better now than the 90s.
You’re using the results of a tournament that rarely reveals the best overall team, while ignoring every other data point and saying “everyone else is bad, the SEC isn’t good.”
Do you see the flaws in your argument? Like honestly do you? Like I can see where you’re coming from and why you would think the way that you do, but there are obvious flaws in your talking points. Can you understand my view point? Are you capable of that? I truly don’t think you are.
Or are you just going to downvote this post and call me a liar for posting verifiable statistics.

Ok point taken but there are 4 more teams now and the success of the conference isn’t nearly as high
Posted on 2/20/25 at 10:29 am to Madking
There were only 2 more teams prior to this season though. We on average put 3-4 more teams into the tournament now, meaning those two additions yielded 2 more tournament teams, increasing the percentage of tournament teams.

Another huge point we’ll disagree on is I think the 2 seed UK that lost to saint peters was a great team. Their losing in the first round, in my opinion, does not show that the SEC is weaker than it was 20 years ago. The nature of the sport today is streakier than ever. One bad game against a hot shooting team and you’re fricked.

You had more competitive conferences back then so bids were more spread. The Big East was gutted which was arguably the top conference in basketball those days. For example the Big Ten had back to back seasons where they had 9-10 bids just a couple years back without much tourney success but nobody considered them a historically great conference. Bids don’t overshadow success or quality.

I've told you on multiple occasions I want McMahon fired yesterday, but you just ignore it because it doesn't fit your feeble minded narrative. It's sad.

Madking caught lying again. So dishonest. So delusional.

No I agree with you there but being in the final 4 practically every year with multiple national title contenders for a large span of a decade is sustained greatness. Having a couple of final 4 teams over a decade just doesn’t compare.

Madking will hurl insults at you and call you names when he disagrees, but as soon as you catch him in a lie, he reverts to "muh you're attacking me." Smells like hypocrisy to me.
