Well it probably comes from after every loss baseball fans coming in asking if it's baseball season yet.
Or baseball fans thinking baseball is biggest thing in world and won't acknowledge no one else outside of br cares.
I think people could cheer for all though

What kind of troll are you? The reason I don't go to ball games is because they're $35 a ticket for decent seats. Then if you buy 4, you're paying $140 + fee for every game you go to. You save money if you but for the season but the brand isn't worth more than LSU baseball tickets to me FWIW.

I think the crowd will start to improve in January.

I consider myself pretty reserved about such things (others would even say negative/pessimistic) but even I say that the style of play and hustle demonstrated by this team is head and shoulders above Trent's and dare I say Brady ball of the latter years. Its night and day. I agree that we are not about to win a championship but I like the direction we're headed and its a clear upgrade over what we've seen for so many years. When Johnny gets his talent here I say 'watch out'.
I'll reserve judgement until we play a good opponent....but good so far.

There isn't a bad seat in the house. Soooo expensive, my season tickets are $100 for 2nd row upper above lsu tunnel.

center court tickets are $18. and lets be honest right now you can buy $5 tickets and sit in an $18 section.
$35? i mean huh? what the frick?

quote:While I don't agree with this at all, it is actually something that was clearly implied by none other than Tim Brando as it related to LSU fans and how they can get behind the football team because they don't see the faces of the players and how they don't support basketball in the same way because they are up close in in person. That's why he thinks there is such a great disparity in support between the two. It's asinine and ludicrous I know, but this is unfortunately not an original thought.

Why would bball be considered thugs then? I've called them out on it but you can't deny bball gets called thug way more than football no matter trouble or lack there of

I thought I read that they decided on their own to do it (not sure how true it was, but they said it). Something about a fresh start.

Hey CajunRevolution,
Try this out: LSU Hoops Mini-Plans
3 games for $39 ($13/game)
5 games for $60 ($12/game)

Students are embarrassed to go to games and be seen. Too scared if they support bball and they lose then they will be labeled a loser for caring about a nine winning team.if they do go they sit high and make fun of students that care.
Students might be embarrassed to sit with the weirdos down low, but nobody at LSU is worried about being called a "loser" for cheering on the basketball team. That's just silly. For the generation of students at LSU right now, it's been nothing but football football football their entire lives. There's been no buzz around basketball to get them attracted.

This is more of a reflection of maybe the people in your circles, but it's certainly not a reflection of the LSU fanbase. It's a bit ridiculous to suggest this.

The thing that is impressive to me is that 5 games in Johnny already has a pulse on this team.
He knows his personnel and he mixes and matches do put this team in the best spot he possibly can.
The players seem to have already bought in and are playing unselfish getting everybody involved.
Brady and Johnson tended to grind on the players. Brady's antics during the game showed how difficult he was to play for. Johnson must have beat the you know what out of them during practice and players were obviously frustrated at times during games.

In his defense, legends club season tix are 30 bucks a game. Regardless, dude is like 27 with no kids so a) why would he buy 4 tickets a game b) you can easily get tickets on gameday from the box office at face value of $18 or c) buy from a scalper outside for noire than 10 bucks.

Who the hell have they beaten? Seton Hall is who they are hanging their hat on?

I went to the game last night. Walked up at 8PM and got tickets in the second level. Great view and the PMAC look nice. They have done some upgrades that have really improved the facility. Had fun at the game and the crowd was trying to be loud but 7k in a stadium that seats 14k. Really LSU fans? Talked to a number of folks today who (as others mentioned) wanted to watch the saints. Why? We need to support our Tigers first!
