His defenses also allowed Alabama to drive for game winning scores in the 2012 and 2014 games. And he WAs a lazy butt when it came to recruiting, and when he bailed on LSU, he left us very thin in terms of talent, especially in the front 7. You can keep him. Aranda has already proven himself to be the superior defensive mind whether you realize it or not.

I'm shocked to see he's only 61 years old. Seems like he's been around since the dawn of football. I remember him with the Vols in the 90s and he looked like an old man then

I think the game passed him by kind of like Miles.

Worst DC ever at LSU
I guess you weren't an LSU fan when Joe Bugar, Lou Tepper, and "malveto" were roaming the sidelines.
Let's not just make stuff up about Chavis now that he's gone.

Arkansas is a dumpster fire.
Arky should have hired Miles. He probably could have helped their recruiting, except at QB.

The defense only allowed 346 yards, punt return and int return are no on the defense. Not even close to great especially after Colorado State went for over 400 the week before but Arkansas has bigger issues than Chavis
Arkansas ranks 84th in the country in total defense after playing the following teams:
Eastern Illinois
Colorado State
North Texas.
It’s crazy that their defense ranks so poorly after playing those teams.
There next 4 games are against:
Auburn
A&M
Bama
Ole Miss
That just means it’s only going to get worse...much worse

Yea, frick that fatass frick for the way he quit on the team. At least Kevin Steele was decent enough to see the job through when he left. Miles should have told him to kick rocks in the hotel and let Raymond be acting DC.

Damn I remember everyone loving him. Oh well lol. We have the best DC in the country now so no worries. Raymond is a beast as well. Geaux Tigers!
Cooper is thought of highly as a position coach, there's been some issues with his recruiting though.
he offered an Atlanta area kid against Spurrier's wishes at SC. the kid committed, Coop ended up at LSU that same offseason, and Spurrier pulled the kid's scholarship. kid's HS coach banned SC coaches from his school. it worked out for the kid though, he wound up at UCF and was a decent player for them.
there was also some rumors that he lied at LSU about recruits he was in contact with. that's a Rant rumor though, fwiw.

he was the main reason Fulmer was fired, as his "read/react", 3rd and Chavis or whatever you call it, would always lose to FL.due to play calling.
lol, ya can not like the guy without making stuff up. the main reason Fulmer got fired was he could never seem to field an effective offense without Cutcliffe as OC.
in Fulmer's last year (08), Chavis' defense was #1 in the SEC in yardage and only gave up 16.8 ppg. the offense averaged 17.3, and 270 ypg. that's worse than anything even Les trotted out.

He got richer, fatter, and lazier
